Borowska Street - Hospital Tram Route in Wroclaw
"Borowska Street - Hospital Tram Route in Wroclaw" as part of the Integrated Rail Transport System in the Agglomeration and Wroclaw - Phase IV
The subject of the project is the preparation of complete design documentation for the investment project entitled "Borowska - Hospital Tram Route" in Wroclaw, along with obtaining all required administrative decisions, including the ZRID decision.
The main objective of the undertaking is to construct a new tram route ensuring a direct connection between the southern housing estates of the city and the area of the University Clinical Hospital at Borowska Street, as well as improving the accessibility of public transport for this part of Wroclaw. The investment includes the construction of approximately 1.1 km of a double-track tram line, the reconstruction of the existing road layout, and the construction of a new "Bardzka" tram and bus interchange. The project also assumes the reconstruction of Świeradowska, Borowska, Kukuczki, and Działkowa streets, the construction of new intersections, dedicated bus-and-tram lanes, as well as infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.
As part of the task, a modern tram and bus loop will be constructed, featuring a Park&Ride parking facility, Bike&Ride bicycle parking facilities, as well as technical and staff welfare facilities for the municipal public transport operator. The scope also includes the construction of new tram and bus stops equipped with a passenger information system, video surveillance, and solutions ensuring full accessibility for persons with disabilities.
An essential element of the investment is the reconstruction and construction of utility networks, including water supply, sewerage, power, telecommunications, gas networks, and the Municipal Technological Duct. The project also provides for the construction of new drainage, retention systems, and stormwater management in accordance with the principles of sustainable stormwater management.
The documentation shall provide for the relocation of conflicting infrastructure, the removal of vegetation only to the necessary extent, and the proposal of solutions minimizing the environmental impact of the investment.
As the Contractor, we are responsible for preparing complete design documentation, cost estimates, technical specifications, execution designs, and obtaining all approvals and administrative decisions enabling the commencement of construction works.
The documentation will also cover traffic analyses, traffic management plans, transport analyses, and solutions for traffic control systems, traffic signals, video surveillance, and passenger information.
The result of the project implementation will be the creation of a modern public transport corridor integrating tram, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, which will improve the accessibility of the southern districts of Wrocław, shorten travel time to the hospital, and increase the attractiveness of public transport at the expense of car traffic.
